Pumps

Raise the pump off the floor of the pond to avoid clogging.

The maximum height of the fountain should be approximately half the width of your pond.

Minimise the friction within your waterfall hose by positioning your pump near the waterfall - keep the hose as short as possible.

Check that the hose does not kink during installation.

Use 1" hose wherever possible to minimise flow restriction.

The angle of your waterfall should be a gentle slope so as to give the impression of more water over a bigger fall.

The installation of pump should be considered a permanent one, incorporating an approved circuit breaker.

Always use cable and connectors specifically designed for water garden use and suitable for outdoors. Have your system installed or checked by a qualified electrician.

Maintain your pump in accordance with the instructions in your owner manual.

These robust pumps are not only inexpensive to purchase but have very low running costs. Carrying a one year guarantee they are ideal for creating fountains, small waterfalls and for use in outdoor ornamental water features.
